October 1st

7 p.m.

Fr. Tom Welk, Certified Professional in Patient Safety, will present "Hospice: Enriching Life to the Last Moment" for the October Hour for Life.

Fr. Tom Welk is second counselor of the Kansas City Province and currently serves as chaplain of the ASC Center in Wichita, Kansas 

Fr. Tom Welk received his BA in philosophy and MA in theological studies from the University of Dayton; and his DMin in pastoral counseling with emphasis on medical ethics from the Graduate Theological Foundation.

In the early 1980s he was involved in starting a hospice program in south central Kansas and took the position of Director of Professional Education and Pastoral Care with Hospice of Wichita, now known as Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.

Fr. Tom has been recognized with several awards for his work in end-of-life care and medical ethics.

This is a no charge event. Refreshments are served. 


In April 2019 the Kansas Supreme Court essentially removed all protections for vulnerable women and their unborn children. To fight back, we have to pass a constitutional amendment and we need your help!
